Today, I am writing about certain confounding designs based on various observations that I have made. If you really look at things like I have understood, this might then interest you. Well it is all about how people intend to express their ideas in optimal design techniques.
About the design of hotel rooms.
So as I enter my suite room, there is a living with a couch arrangement following by a passage that leads me to my bedroom. The bedroom has a king size bed covered with beautiful white linen sheets and heavy fluffy pillows and cushion, a 42″ LED TV, a mini bar which has 10 different kinds of alcohol set in three types of containers. I am going to be a little out of the sight and state what most of your clients might really appreciate. Travelling across time-zones or even long distances, all your guests want is to rest, and may be engross themselves in some of the business of their own during their stay. So if the walls are way too bleak that the person in the room can getg disturbed due to the walking or people, moving trolly bags, stomping and yelling kids or if the curtains on the windows are way too thin for the sunlight to penetrate right through your client’s eyes, please give a prior warning so they don’t have to crib or sue you for anything at all. And if you can’t manage that, then provide your guest with kits that have sleeping masks and ear plugs along with the unnecessary ironing board and the shoe polish which by the way is far more unnecessary to use. The much hyped design of the rock concerts
So I the whole country was drenched with Sunburn and still is in some places, maybe people like the organizers, all you guys must have been rubbing shoulders with all kinds of cool people, but I don’t think it is not really very cool to have rock concert with people who have shelled out thousands to attend this concert and then keep them hanging for hours. You can simply let the crowd know of your arrival, I mean at the Nicky Romero concert Mumbai, he showed up on the stage only after an hour and a half. If you don’t inform people, and the opening time is 8, people reach by 8 or 8:30, and then just stand and stand forever. Seems like people also agree to wait only because suffering will only prove that you are great fan, is it?
On design of a cardboard box
When I bought my Nexus 7 tablet, all I was thinking is if I was a a cardboard box and I could just open with a simple strip of tape pulled along, minimastically, someone would have sure written a poem on me with exult of glory. That should have been a tru design which I could have simply worked with without having to implement any kind of an external force otherwise.
